Dog Bites And Children
Dog bites are the number two reason why children are taken to the emergency room. The probability of getting bitten by a dog in any given year is extremely high for everyone, but the probability of a severe injury is much lower. For children the probability of a severe injury from a dog bite is substantially higher, because their face is very close to a dog and they are often bitten on the face which results in significant injuries This is the primary reason for why children are often taken to the emergency room for treatment. |
